[MV Review] Nine Muses – “Remember”

4 weeks late has to be a new record for me but whatever. Nine Muses is back!

I always look forward to a Nine Muses release, they are consistently releasing great music. Even if my bias, Hyuna, left and even though they are technically Four Muses now, I will always be on the look out for this vastly underappreciated group.

“Remember” is everything I like about Nine Muses wrapped up in one release. Dark poppy anthems, subtle but pretty vocals, model visuals, and great cohesive concepts. “Remember” starts off slow and acoustic and gradually builds into a great synth-pop number reminiscent of T-ara’s later work. I really dig Sojin’s deep talk-rap mixed with the other girls soft vocals. The song doesn’t have a single dull moment and it’s honestly one of the best songs 2017 has had to offer.

And it’s also one of the best music videos 2017 has had to offer as well. Purely based on aesthetics, it’s kind of like Nine Muses mixed with Fiestar and Dreamcatcher. I gave up on trying to following the plot, which really just seems to be about a stalker or a photographer that’s banging all of them and then they find out and get pissed or something. It’s a visually stunning music video and it’s executed greatly.

Hyemi is back to being my fave.

Bottom line: If you’re not stanning Nine Muses then you’re not doing K-pop right.
